ZENITH Delivers MTW198G Grinding Line for Phosphate Fertilizer Production — 15 t/h at 100 Mesh

The phosphate fertilizer industry keeps expanding as global agriculture demands more efficient nutrient supply. Within diammonium phosphate (DAP) production, the first and most decisive step is preparing phosphate rock to the right fineness before acidulation. ZENITH's MTW198G European trapezium grinding mill has become a frequent choice for this duty, and a recent 15 t/h line grinding phosphate rock to 100 mesh shows why.

A complete grinding line at 15 t/h

The project uses one complete set of the MTW198G grinding mill, configured as a full production line rather than a standalone machine. The line takes phosphate rock feed and delivers a uniform 100 mesh (about 150 µm) product at a rated capacity of 15 tonnes per hour — the fineness required for efficient reaction in downstream phosphoric-acid and DAP fertilizer manufacturing.

Why a trapezium mill for phosphate rock

Phosphate rock is abrasive and variable in moisture, which makes grinding both an energy and a maintenance challenge. The MTW198G meets this with a curved grinding track and an optimized roller system that holds the product within a tight 100 mesh envelope while keeping energy use down. The line is equipped with a high-efficiency classifier, a pulse-jet dust collection system and negative-pressure operation, so the plant stays clean and meets environmental limits even under continuous running.

From one line to a stable supply

A 15 t/h phosphate-rock grinding line is sized to feed a mid-scale DAP plant steadily, turning raw phosphate rock into the consistent powder that phosphoric-acid and granulation units depend on. For fertilizer producers, that consistency translates directly into stable DAP quality and fewer process disturbances.

About ZENITH grinding solutions

ZENITH designs and builds crushing and grinding equipment and delivers complete powder-production plants, with capacities from 0.5 t/h to over 100 t/h and finished fineness from coarse 200 mesh up to ultrafine 2500 mesh. Its mills are used across mineral powder, fertilizer, refractory, glass, ceramics, coatings and environmental applications, with process design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and operator training provided as one package.
