Barite is the most common mineral containing barium, and its composition is barium sulfate (BaSO₄). It occurs in low-temperature hydrothermal veins, such as quartz-barite veins and fluorite-barite veins, and is often associated with galena, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, cinnabar, etc. Color: Colorless and transparent, but its color can vary due to impurities and inclusions, and it may actually appear white, gray, or light yellow.
