(1) Raw material preparation: Select a suitable coal type and perform pretreatment such as crushing, grinding, drying, and screening.

(2) Carbonization: Heat the coal raw material to a high temperature under oxygen-deficient conditions to pyrolyze the coal into carbon, and collect the volatile matter at the same time.

(3) Activation: React the carbonized carbon with a gaseous activator under high temperature conditions to increase its specific surface area and pore structure.

(4) Post-treatment: After washing, drying, and other post-treatment processes, the finished coal-based activated carbon is obtained.
